Welcome to The Park

The Park is where Woof World members share their dogs, swap advice, and get to know each other. These Guidelines describe what belongs here and what doesn’t.

They apply everywhere in the community — posts, comments, photos and video, profiles, groups, and direct messages. They work alongside our Terms of Service and Community Terms and Conditions, which govern in the event of a conflict.

You must be 18 or older to participate in the community.

The Short Version

Be decent to people. Be honest about your dog. Don’t sell things here. Don’t post anything that hurts an animal.

What We Expect

• Be kind. Disagree freely, but attack the argument and not the person. Many members are here after a loss, a difficult diagnosis, or a hard adoption.
• Be honest. Post real photos and video of real dogs. Don’t misrepresent a dog’s breed, history, health, or behavior.
• Stay on topic. This is a community about dogs and the people who love them.
• Respect privacy. Don’t post someone else’s personal information, private messages, photos, or address without their permission.
• Give credit. Don’t post content you didn’t create as though it’s yours.

What’s Not Allowed

Harm to animals

• Content depicting or encouraging cruelty, neglect, abuse, fighting, or baiting
• Content showing an animal in distress presented as entertainment
• Promotion of prong, choke, shock, or other aversive equipment as a primary training method
• Instructions for procedures that should be performed by a veterinarian
• Content depicting dogs in dangerous situations staged for engagement

If you see something that suggests an animal is in immediate danger, report it here and contact your local animal control or law enforcement. We are not an emergency service.

Harm to people

• Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or coordinated pile-ons
• Hate speech or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age
• Content that encourages self-harm or suicide
• Doxxing or publishing private information
• Impersonating another person, a business, a rescue, or Woof World staff
• Unwanted sexual advances or persistent unwelcome contact, including by direct message

Content that doesn’t belong

• Sexual or explicit material
• Graphic violence or gore
• Content promoting illegal activity
• Spam, repetitive posting, engagement bait, or automated posting
• Misinformation about animal health that could cause harm if followed
• Content infringing someone else’s copyright, trademark, or likeness

Animal sales and transfers

The community may not be used to sell, breed, broker, trade, give away, or solicit the transfer of any animal. This includes rehoming posts, litter announcements, stud service, and “asking for a friend” arrangements.

Adoption and rescue activity belongs in the Rescue Directory. This rule exists because unsupervised online animal transfers are a well-documented vector for fraud and for animals ending up in bad situations, and we are not able to vet them.

Selling and promotion

The community is not a sales channel. Don’t advertise products or services, post affiliate or referral links to outside sites, recruit members to other platforms, or send unsolicited commercial direct messages.

Businesses that want to sell to our members should apply to the Seller Program. Mentioning a product you genuinely like is fine; posting to drive sales is not.

If you have a financial relationship with a brand you’re discussing — you’re paid, sponsored, gifted the product, or earn a commission — you must disclose it clearly in the post itself. This is required by the FTC, not just by us.

Contest conduct

• Don’t ask for vote trades or organize vote exchanges
• Don’t use or promote automated voting, duplicate accounts, or vote farms
• Don’t attack, brigade, or harass other entrants
• Don’t post someone else’s entry as your own

Contest violations are handled under the Official Rules and may result in disqualification in addition to community consequences.

Health and Training Advice

Members share a lot of advice here, and much of it is good. None of it is professional advice, none of it is reviewed by us, and none of it should replace a licensed veterinarian.

If your dog is unwell, call a vet. If it’s an emergency, go now. Please don’t wait on comments.

Reporting

Use the report button on any post, comment, profile, or message. Reports are not visible to the person you’re reporting.

Blocking is available on member profiles and stops that member from contacting or following you.

We review reports at our discretion. We are not able to review everything posted here, and we do not commit to taking any particular action on a report.

What Happens When Guidelines Are Broken

Depending on what happened and what’s happened before, we may:

• Remove the content
• Issue a warning
• Limit specific features, such as posting or messaging
• Suspend the account temporarily
• Terminate the account permanently
• Disqualify a contest entry
• Report the matter to law enforcement or animal control

We don’t operate a fixed strike count. Some things get a note; some things get an immediate permanent ban. Content depicting animal cruelty, threats of violence, and sexual content involving minors will always result in immediate termination and, where appropriate, a report to authorities.

Termination results in forfeiture of contest entries, reward points, and membership benefits as described in the Terms of Service.

If You Think We Got It Wrong

Email support@woofworld.com within thirty (30) days with your username and what was removed. We’ll take another look. A human reviews appeals, and we’ll tell you the outcome. Decisions on appeal are final.

Changes

We may update these Guidelines as the community grows. When we do, we’ll update the version number and effective date above and post a notice in the community.
