COMMUNITY TERMS

1. About These Terms

These Community Terms and Conditions govern your use of The Park, the online community operated by Woof World, LLC (“Woof World,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at my.woofworld.com (the “Community”).

They supplement our Terms of Service, which continues to apply. Where these Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Terms control as to the Community. Our Community Guidelines set the standards of conduct that apply here and are incorporated by reference. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and a legal resident of the United States to access, join, or participate in the Community.

Registered users under 18 may use other areas of the Site as described in the Terms of Service, but may not create a Community profile, post content, join groups, follow other members, or send or receive direct messages.

We may suspend or remove Community access from any account we determine does not meet this requirement, and we may require verification of age at any time.

3. Your Profile

Your profile is visible to other members and, depending on the settings applicable to a given area, may be visible to the public and indexed by search engines.

You agree that your username, profile image, and profile content will not impersonate another person or entity, will not misrepresent your affiliation with any business, rescue, or Woof World itself, and will not violate the Community Guidelines.

Manage your visibility settings in your account. Some information — including your username and profile image — is visible to other members and cannot be hidden while your Community access is active.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of what you post.

By posting content in the Community, you grant Woof World a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, publicly display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Community, the Site, and our programs.

This license terminates within a commercially reasonable period after you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups, in aggregated or de-identified form, or where the content has been shared or republished by others. Content posted in the Community is not subject to the perpetual license that applies to contest entries under the Terms of Service.

You represent that you own or have all rights necessary to post your content; that it does not infringe any copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy right; that every identifiable person appearing in it has consented; and that any music, footage, or other third-party material is used with all necessary rights.

5. Public Nature of the Community

Content you post in public areas is visible to other members and may be visible to anyone on the internet. Assume anything you post may be seen, screenshotted, saved, or shared beyond the Community.

Once content has been shared or republished by others, we cannot retrieve or delete it, even if you delete the original.

6. Direct Messages

Direct messages are not displayed publicly, but they are not confidential as to Woof World. We may access, review, and retain them where reasonably necessary to investigate a report, enforce these Terms, protect the safety of members or animals, or comply with law.

You may not use direct messages to send unsolicited commercial messages, to harass or repeatedly contact someone who has asked you to stop, or to arrange any transaction prohibited by Section 8 or Section 9.

Blocking a member stops them from messaging or following you.

7. Groups

Groups may be public, private, or hidden. Group organizers may set additional rules for their group, may approve or remove members, and may remove content within it.

Group rules may be stricter than these Terms but may never permit anything these Terms or the Community Guidelines prohibit. Woof World does not endorse any group, is not responsible for how a group is run, and may remove any group at any time.

Content posted in a private or hidden group is still subject to these Terms and remains accessible to us for moderation and legal purposes.

8. Animal Transactions and Rehoming

The Community may not be used to sell, breed, broker, trade, give away, or solicit the transfer of any animal. This includes rehoming posts, litter announcements, stud service, transport arrangements, and requests made on behalf of another person.

Adoption and rescue activity belongs in the Rescue Directory and is governed by the Rescue Directory Terms.

Any arrangement between members concerning an animal is solely between those members. Woof World is not a party to it, does not screen or verify members, and assumes no responsibility for the conduct of the parties or the welfare of any animal involved.

9. Commercial Activity

The Community is not a sales channel. You may not advertise or promote products or services, post affiliate or referral links to outside sites, recruit members to other platforms, solicit business by direct message, or conduct transactions here.

Businesses wishing to sell to our members must enroll in the Seller Program. Sponsored or paid placement within the Community is permitted only where arranged with us in advance and clearly disclosed.

If you have a financial relationship with a brand or product you discuss — including payment, sponsorship, free product, or commission — you must disclose it clearly in the post itself. This is required by the Federal Trade Commission, and it is your obligation, not ours.

10. Not Professional Advice

Members share information and opinions about animal health, nutrition, behavior, training, breeding, veterinary care, medications, products, and services.

None of it is professional advice. None of it is reviewed by us for accuracy. None of it substitutes for consultation with a licensed veterinarian or other qualified professional.

Woof World does not endorse and is not responsible for any member content, and you act on it at your own risk. In an emergency involving an animal, contact a licensed veterinarian immediately.

11. Reporting and Blocking

Reporting and blocking tools are available on posts, comments, profiles, and messages. Reports are not visible to the person reported.

We review reports and take action where we determine it is warranted. We also remove content and take action on our own initiative when we become aware of a problem. We do not review everything posted in the Community, we do not pre-screen content before it appears, and we do not commit to reviewing any particular report, to responding within any particular time, or to taking any particular action. Decisions about whether and how to act are made at our sole discretion.

Where a report suggests an animal is in immediate danger, contact local animal control or law enforcement. We are not an emergency service.

12. Moderation

We reserve the right, but assume no obligation, to review, screen, edit, refuse, remove, restrict, or disable access to any content at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason.

Woof World is not the author or publisher of member content. Opinions expressed in it are those of the members who posted them, and we disclaim responsibility for member content to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Enforcement actions and the appeal process are described in the Community Guidelines.

13. Copyright

If you believe content in the Community infringes your copyright, follow the procedure in our Copyright and DMCA Policy. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend Community access, or terminate your account as described in the Community Guidelines and the Terms of Service.

You may leave the Community at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile and, where technically feasible, your posts. Content others have quoted, shared, or replied to may remain.

Termination results in forfeiture of contest entries, reward points, and membership benefits as described in the Terms of Service.

15. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Community is provided “as is.” The warranty disclaimers and limitation of liability in our Terms of Service apply to all Community activity.

We make no representation about any member, any group, any content posted here, or any arrangement between members.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the version number and effective date above, retain prior versions in an accessible archive, and post notice in the Community. For material changes, we will provide at least thirty (30) days’ advance notice.

17. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between you and Woof World arising out of the Community are governed by the dispute resolution, arbitration, and class action waiver provisions of our Terms of Service, including the informal resolution period and the arbitration opt-out.

This does not apply to disputes between you and another member.
