ENTERING THE CONTEST
1. What is Make me Laugh?
MAKE ME LAUGH is Woof World’s national fan-voted video contest celebrating America’s funniest dogs. It’s your dog’s chance to become America’s next canine superstar, compete for cash prizes and bring smiles to dog lovers across the country. Every entry also helps support participating animal rescue organizations—so every laugh makes a difference.
2. Who can enter?
Anyone who is a legal U.S. resident (including Washington, D.C.) and at least 13 years old may
enter. Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Do I need a Woof World account?
Yes. Contestants and voters must sign in or create a free Woof World account. Your account lets you enter the contest, vote for your favorite dogs, view your dog’s votes and track a dog’s ranking on the leaderboard.
4. How do I enter the contest?
Getting started is easy:
- Visit the Contest page and click Enter the Contest.
- Sign in or create a free Woof World account.
- Sign in or create a free Woof World account.
- Pay the $15 entry fee.
- Receive access to your Contest HQ.
5. What’s included with my $15 entry fee?
Your entry includes:
- Entry into the MAKE ME LAUGH Contest
- Access to your Contest HQ
- Shareable links to bank Bonus Votes and collect Free Daily Votes
- The opportunity to compete for cash prizes
- A $5 contribution to participating animal rescue organizations
Please note: Entry is limited to one dog per contestant.
6. Can I enter more than one dog?
No. Entry is limited to one dog per contestant to help ensure a fair and competitive experience for everyone.
7. Can I submit my entry using my phone?
Yes. MAKE ME LAUGH is fully mobile-friendly. You can register, upload your video, manage your entry, vote, and share your personal links from your phone, tablet or computer.
8. What are the video requirements?
Videos must:
- Feature a real dog
- Be your original video
- Be 60 seconds or less
- Be funny, entertaining and family-friendly
- Not include copyrighted content you don’t have permission to use
- Not include offensive or illegal content
- Not contain AI-generated or manipulated footage
Accepted formats include MP4, AVI, and MPEG.
9. Why does my video need approval?
Every submission is reviewed to ensure it meets our contest guidelines and helps provide a safe, fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.
10. When can I expect my submission to be approved?
Our team reviews every submission as quickly as possible. Most entries are approved within 48 hours.
11. What happens after my entry is approved?
Once your entry is approved, access your Contest HQ, start sharing your personal invitation link, and build an early lead before the competition begins.
12. Where can I find my personal entry link and invitation link?
Your personal invitation link will be available in your Contest HQ as soon as your entry is approved, so you can start inviting other dog owners and bank Bonus Votes. Your personal entry link will become available on the day the competition begins, when supporters can start voting for your dog.
13. Can I edit my submission after I've entered?
Yes. You may edit or replace your entry at any time before voting begins. Once voting starts, all approved entries are locked and can no longer be changed to ensure a fair competition for everyone.

14. How long does the contest run?
The contest has two phases:
- Entry Period — Enter your funniest dog video, receive approval, and start building an early lead by banking Bonus Votes.
- Voting Period — Once entries close, contestants can start sharing their personal entry links and supporters can begin casting their 1 free daily vote.

15. When does voting begin?
Voting begins after the entry period closes and all approved entries have been published. Once voting opens, contestants can start sharing their personal entry link with friends, family, and followers to collect votes, supporters can begin casting their 1 free daily vote, and the public leaderboard goes live. The official contest schedule is available on the contest website.
16. How does voting work?
Your dog’s total vote count comes from Bonus Votes and Free Daily Votes.
Bonus Votes are earned before the competition begins by completing eligible Bonus Vote activities and are automatically added to your dog’s total.
Once the competition begins, anyone with a free Woof World account can cast 1 Free Daily Vote for their favorite dog each day. Free Daily Votes reset every day and do not roll over if unused.
All votes are subject to verification before final rankings and winners are confirmed.
17. Can I vote for my own dog?
No. Contestants may not vote for their own entries.
18. How can I earn more votes?
Maximize your dog’s chances by taking advantage of every opportunity to bank Bonus Votes and collect Free Daily Votes:
Before the competition begins:
- Invite other dog owners to enter using your personal invitation link and bank 50 Bonus Votes for every qualifying referral.
Before and during the competition:
- Follow Woof World on our official social media channels and bank 20 Bonus Votes for each channel you follow.
Once the competition begins:
- Share your personal entry link with friends, family, and followers.
- Encourage your supporters to return every day and cast their Free Daily Vote.
- Keep sharing your entry throughout the competition to reach new supporters.
The more supporters who discover your dog’s entry—and the more often they return to vote—the better your chances of climbing the leaderboard.
19. Where can I view my dog's ranking?
During the voting period, you can view your dog’s current ranking on the public leaderboard. Rankings are updated throughout the competition. Final standings become official after all votes have been verified.
WINNING & PRIZES
20. How are winners selected?
Winners are determined solely by the number of eligible verified votes received during the
voting period. This is a fan-voted contest—winners are never selected at random.
21. What can I win?
Guaranteed cash prizes include:
- 🥇 First Place — $5,000
- 🥈 Second Place — $500
- 🥉 Third Place — $250
As more dogs enter the contest, additional $100 cash prizes are unlocked—giving even more contestants the chance to win.
22. What happens if my dog wins?
If your dog wins, we’ll contact you using the email associated with your Woof World account with
instructions on how to verify your eligibility and claim your prize. Winners will also be announced
on the Woof World website and our official social media channels.
23. What happens if there's a tie?
If there’s a tie for First, Second, or Third Place, it will be resolved according to the Official Rules.

24. Do I still own my video?
Yes. You retain ownership of your video. By entering, you grant Woof World permission to use it to promote the contest and Woof World.
25. Are entry fees refundable?
No. Entry fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
