Marketplace Terms

1. About These Terms

These Marketplace Terms govern purchases made through the Woof World marketplace by buyers. They supplement our Terms of Service, which continues to apply. Where these Terms conflict with the Terms of Service, these Terms control as to marketplace purchases.

Businesses selling through the marketplace are governed by the Seller Agreement, not by these Terms.

2. Who May Buy

You must be at least 18 years of age, a legal resident of the United States, and have a Woof World account in good standing to make a purchase.

3. Who You Are Buying From

The marketplace includes items sold by Woof World and items sold by independent third-party businesses (“Sellers”). Every listing identifies its seller.

Items sold by Woof World. We are the seller. Our obligations under applicable law apply, and our Refund Policy governs returns and refunds.

Items sold by a Seller. The Seller is the merchant of record and the contract of sale is between you and that Seller. Woof World provides the venue and receives a commission on completed sales. Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor on the Seller’s own account. Woof World does not hold the funds from your purchase, is not a party to the sale, and cannot issue a refund on a Seller’s behalf.

4. Listings and Product Information

Listing content — descriptions, images, specifications, pricing, availability, and shipping terms — is supplied by the seller of that item.

For Seller listings, we do not create, verify, inspect, test, or independently confirm any of it. We make no representation about the accuracy, completeness, quality, safety, legality, or availability of any Seller item.

Prices and availability may change without notice. If an item is listed in error, at an incorrect price, or is unavailable after you order, the order may be cancelled and you will be refunded in full.

5. Placing an Order

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase. The order is accepted when the seller confirms it or ships the item. You will receive an order confirmation by email.

You authorize the seller and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the order total, including tax and shipping. Prices are in U.S. dollars.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Shipping methods, costs, and estimated delivery times are set by the seller of each item and shown at checkout. Estimates are not guarantees.

Risk of loss passes on delivery to the carrier unless applicable law provides otherwise. For Seller items, the Seller is responsible for fulfillment, tracking, and resolving shipping problems.

Orders containing items from multiple sellers ship separately and may arrive at different times.

7. Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

Items sold by Woof World are governed by our Refund Policy.

Items sold by a Seller are governed by that Seller’s return policy, shown on the listing. Contact the Seller directly to arrange a return, refund, exchange, or cancellation.

If you cannot reach a Seller, or a Seller does not honor its stated return policy, contact support@woofworld.com. We will attempt to assist and may take action against the Seller under the Seller Agreement. We cannot refund you ourselves for a Seller order, because we do not hold those funds.

8. Service Provider Listings

Some listings identify independent providers of services rather than physical products.

We do not employ, endorse, license, certify, background-check, insure, or supervise any service provider. We do not verify credentials, licensing, insurance, training, or experience except where a listing expressly states otherwise. We are not a party to any engagement you enter into with a provider, and any arrangement, payment, or dispute is solely between you and that provider.

You are responsible for satisfying yourself as to a provider’s suitability before engaging them, including verifying licensing and insurance. Consider meeting a provider before leaving an animal in their care.

9. Products for Animals

Products sold through the marketplace are consumer goods, not veterinary treatments. Nothing sold or described in the marketplace is a substitute for professional veterinary care.

Product descriptions, including statements about health, nutrition, supplements, or behavior, are supplied by sellers and are not evaluated or endorsed by Woof World. Consult a licensed veterinarian before giving your dog any supplement, medication, or specialty diet, and before using any product on an animal with a health condition.

Follow all manufacturer instructions and supervise your dog when introducing any new toy, chew, treat, or equipment.

10. Reviews and Ratings

If we offer reviews, you may post about items you actually purchased. Reviews must be honest and based on your own experience.

You may not post a review in exchange for compensation, a discount, a free product, or any other benefit, without clearly disclosing it. Sellers may not write, solicit, or incentivize reviews of their own items or a competitor’s.

We may remove reviews that violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We do not remove reviews simply because a seller disagrees with them.

11. Reward Points

Where Points are earned or redeemed on a marketplace purchase, the Paw Points Program Terms govern. 

12. Prohibited Buyer Conduct

You may not use the marketplace to purchase for resale without our written consent, to obtain items through fraud or a stolen payment method, to abuse return or refund processes, to harass a seller or service provider, or to circumvent the marketplace to transact off-platform with a Seller you found here.

We may cancel orders, suspend marketplace access, or terminate your account for any of the above.

13. Disputes with Sellers and Providers

Disputes about an item, an order, or a service are between you and the seller or provider. We may, at our discretion, assist by facilitating communication or taking action under the Seller Agreement, but we are not obligated to mediate, arbitrate, or resolve any dispute, and we are not liable for its outcome.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Woof World from claims arising out of any transaction with a Seller or service provider, or any dispute with them.

14. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The marketplace and all Seller listings are provided “as is.” Our warranty disclaimers and the limitation of liability in our Terms of Service apply to all marketplace activity.

Nothing in this Section limits any warranty or obligation applicable to items sold and fulfilled by Woof World directly.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will update the version number and effective date above and retain prior versions in an accessible archive. The version in effect at the time of your order governs that order.

16. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between you and Woof World are governed by the dispute resolution, arbitration, and class action waiver provisions of our Terms of Service. This does not apply to disputes between you and a Seller or service provider.
